Ebenezer Mile 2023

The inaugural Ebenezer Mile took place in 1992 and in 2023 the event celebrates its 31st anniversary. The first race attracted 60 swimmers and by 2004 it had grown to over 700 participants and 2,000 spectators. It mainly draws participants from the surrounding area, although many have found the secret charm of this swim and travel from much further afield. The dam and its surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful and this could arguably rank as South Africa's most scenic swim.
