Oceans8 Charity Swim

SAs first warm water ocean challenge OF ITS KIND, ENTIRELY for charity! 8 Mile swim 4 miles on Day 1 (Friday 16th June) and 4 miles on Day 2 (Saturday 17th June). Sun 18th June is a contingency day if conditions are poor on either 16th or 17th. Each mile will start every 75 minutes from 08h00 Entry fee R1 000 (includes exclusive Oceans 8 branded kit, cap and medal) Minimum of R5 000 to be raised for your main charity of choice by Wed 14th June (see Charities Page for details). Registration to take place from 16h00 to 18h00 on Thurs 15th June and from 05h00 to 06h30 on Fri 16th June. Limited to 30 swimmers per charity. Cheque-handover to the charities of all funds raised for them will be on Friday 16th June at 6pm at Durban Undersea Club. All swimmers must have completed at least one official SEA swim prior to the event. Wetsuits are permitted. 1 Mile swim Choose one of the 4 events on Day 1 (Friday 16th June) or Day 2 (Saturday 17th June). Sunday 18th June is a contingency day if conditions are poor on either 16th or 17th. Entry fee R150 (includes cap and medal) PLUS R850 fundraising for charity. All funds raised by 1 mile swimmers will be split equally between the 9 invitational charities and must be raised by Wed 14th June (see Charities Page for details). Registration to take place from 16h00 to 18h00 on Thurs 15th June and from 05h00 to 06h30 on Fri 17th June. Limited to 50 swimmers per event. Cheque-handover to the charities of all funds raised for them will be on Friday 16th June at 6pm at Durban Undersea Club. Wetsuits are permitted.
