Mabalingwe Lionman

For years, the Lion Man Mountain bike race has been a favourite among the mountain biking community since its inception in the early 2000s. The Lion Man was revived for our love of our reserve and the conservation of wildlife. Experience the scenery and wildlife of Mabalingwe as you navigate the challenging terrain of this beautiful Big 5 Reserve. The event is limited to 750 riders across all 3 distances. The event consists of a 2-day race, challenging the riders on day 1 with their distance of choice, followed by a 20km sprint on day 2. The combined times will determine the winners in each respective distance.
