Blu Smooth Kromme Descent

The 9th edition of the iconic, two-day Kromme Swim will take place on Friday 12thand Saturday 13th May 2023. Challenge yourself to 15 kms of epic swimming on the unspoilt Kromme River. Day 1 This tide-assisted first stage takes swimmers from River Kaya Estate, in the upper reaches of the Kromme River, for a distance of approximately 7,5kms to the finish point at Indwe Estate. Day 2 This swim of approximately 7,5 kms is again tide-assisted and will take swimmers from Indwe Estate, downriver for approximately 6kms before entering the famous St Francis Bay canals for the final 1,5kms. The finish will be in the heart of the canals at The Quays Restaurant. Food and refreshments will be provided to all swimmers at the Indwe Estate riverbank boma after day one. A prize giving and function will be held at The Quays Restaurant after day two, where swimmers will have a menu to purchase from directly during the prizegiving. The Kromme Swim is a team event consisting of 2 members. Teams categories are: Male, Female and Mixed The minimum age for participation is 21. Entries are limited to 75 teams. The aim of the game is to swim with your buddy, so pick your team mate well. This is a timed event. Full details and itinerary will be provided to all entrants prior to the swim.
