Baakens Bash MTB Race

Race through the Baakens Valley! The annual FatTracks Baakens Bash will kick off on Sunday, 30 July! Fat Tracks Mountain Bike Club has been hard at work building, maintaining, and restoring the tracks in Gqeberhas Baakens Valley. Now its time to put them to the test. Bring the family and enjoy one of the most accessible, fun, and family-friendly MTB events in the country. There are three race distances, catering for complete newbies to the seasoned pros. PLUS, the event is held in support of our Baakens Valley neighbour, the Aurora Special Care Centre. There will be stalls for eats and treats afterwards. The programme of events is as follows: Registration: Saturday 29 July from 12:00 to 13:00 at the Fat Tracks Containers Registration: Sunday 30 July from 7:00 to 10:00 at the Fat Tracks Containers on William Moffatt Race start times on Sunday 30 July 2023 are as follows: 08h30 19km E-bikes 09h00 19km MTB 09h15 12km MTB 10h30 4km MTB 11h00 Prize giving & lucky draws ONLINE ENTRIES CLOSE: Midnight on Wednesday 26 July 2023 Late entries are available at registration on Saturday and Sunday. A late entry fee of R60 applies to all entries received after close of online entries.
