Saturday, September 30th to Sunday, October 1st, get your gear ready for an epic weekend of fun, camaraderie and the joy of cycling through the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Free State. For those seeking the full experience, we invite you to join us on Friday night, camping at Sling Cycles HQ, Hangar 28, Tedderfield Airpark, Eikenhof, Johannesburg South, where a spread of braai vleis and all the trimmings will be provided. Alternatively, you can join us on Saturday morning from 07h30 am for a hearty breakfast before we kick off our adventure and hit the road at 09h00 am for our 100 km ride to the Free State. Rest assured, we've got you covered with accommodation and a delightful array of meats, salads and sides on Saturday night at the Kopjeskraal Country Lodge in the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site. A Sunday morning breakfast will bring the weekend to a close but not before hitting the road on our 100 km return cycle to Sling HQ where refreshments will be provided. During the cycle, riders can look forward to a water table stocked with a variety of snacks and drinks awaiting them at the midway point of 50 km, while also enjoying the convenience of two support vehicles accompanying them throughout the entire journey should a mechanical failure occur. While there is no entry fee and no timing chip required, the weekend ranges from as little as R540 per person to R1,100 per person depending specifically on the duration of your stay and the accommodation selected. All meals, snacks and drinks are included in the cost. Final invoices will be calculated upon registration.
