Online entries closes on Monday, 15 April @ midnight
No entries available on race day except for the Fun Run
NOTE that the entry limit for this event is 10000 entrants
An admin fee of 10% will be levied for late entries
Entry fees are non-refundable
Race entry fees:
Marathon: R300
Half-Marathon: R200
10km Race: R150
5km Fun Run: R50
1km Kiddies Dash: R20
70+ Licenced Athletes Entry Fees:
Marathon: R150
Half-Marathon: R100
10km: R75
Entries for the 2024 MiWay Wally Hayward Marathon will open on 1 January 2024!
NO price increase since 2022!!! But for early bird entries only (1 Jan to 29 Feb), thereafter a 10% increase.
Ten (10) lucky participants will each win R10 000 cash for entering early and getting a obligation free quote from MiWay (watch this space for more info).
Registration / Number Collection
Number collection will take place on the day from 04h30 - 06h00
Registration / Number collection will take place on:
Monday, 29 April 2024 15:00-19h00 @ the venue
Tuesday, 30 April 2024 13:00-19h00 @ the venue
It is strongly advised that you collect your number on the Monday or Tuesday
Thank you for making an effort to collect your race number before the race. PS: Race number collection will ONLY be at the venue i.e. Centurion Rugby Club.
Race Day Information
MEDALS: Medals will be awarded to all finishers within cut-off times
MUSIC: The use of music players with headphones or 'buds' is not allowed and may result in disqualification
CUT-OFF: Any participant in the 42.2km event, who has not reached the 21.1km/42.2km split (approximately 20.7 km mark) in 2 hours 40 minutes, will not be permitted to proceed on the 42.2km route and will be routed to the 21.1km finish.
WATER: Water points will be available approximately every 3 km.
WALKERS: Walkers may enter for any event. The cut-off times stipulated will apply to both runners and walkers.

TIMING: Mat-to-mat timing will be used once again for the 21.1km and 42.2km and gun-to-mat for the 10km.
