Balwin Sport Peninsula Marathon

Taking place in February each year, this is one of the oldest and most scenic marathons in the Western Cape. The Balwin Sport Peninsula Marathon kicks off in Green Point with a glorious sunrise start before taking runners along the length of the Cape Peninsula to finish at the historic Simons Town Naval Sports Ground. The half marathon route begins in Bergvliet where runners soon join the fast, flat route with roughly 15km of road along the stunning False Bay coastline towards the finish line. The event is an Abbott age group World Rankings qualifier.
