The Exploration Challenge

The Exploration Challenge is a three-hour adventure race designed as a "treasure hunt" through the scenic West Coast National Park near Langebaan. Participating in teams of two, competitors can choose to either mountain bike or trail run as they navigate to as many checkpoints as possible within the time limit. Based at the historic Geelbek precinct, the event balances fun with strategy, offering an accessible entry point for beginners and families while providing enough navigational challenge to engage experienced athletes.
