Baviaans Mountain Marathon

The inaugural Baviaans Mountain Marathon will take place on Saturday, 4 July 2026 in the Baviaanskloof, with the start and finish at Doringkloof Boskamp, 90km East of Willowmore. Together with the 42km Marathon we also offer a half marathon and 10km race, all taking place simultaneously. Winter is known as "kudu time", meaning utmost care must be taken when driving early morning so the starting time is 08h00 for the 42km, 08h15 for the 21km and 08h30 for the 10km runners. It is advised to book 2 nights' accommodation in the Kloof. We will communicate accommodation options and the program for non-running supporters and family members on our social media pages - come enjoy a day in the Baviaanskloof meeting the locals, drinking in the beauty of the area while you just relax.
