Four Peaks Mountain Challenge

A rugged, self-navigational trail running event held at the Moolmanshoek Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Free State. This iconic mountain race features a grueling 24-kilometer main course with a steep 2,000-meter vertical ascent that takes runners over four consecutive mountain peaks in the Witteberg range. Known for its demanding terrain and unpredictable mountain weather, the event challenges participants to be entirely self-sufficient, requiring them to carry their own hydration and safety gear. Alongside the signature peak-to-peak challenge, the event offers shorter 18-kilometer, 21-kilometer, 10-kilometer, and 5-kilometer routes to accommodate varying fitness levels, all concluding with a community-focused race weekend experience at the reserve.
