Race Description

The Dolphin Mile Surf Swim is South Africas premier ocean swimming series, held at Addington Beach on Durbans Golden Mile. Founded in 2007 by swimming coach and Masters champion Heather Campbell, the series was created to promote ocean swimming among participants of all ages and skill levels. Now managed by seasoned lifesaving and event professional Trevor Martin, the series features seven events throughout the year, with swim distances of 800m, 1.6km, and 3.2km. Swimmers aged 10 to 70+ take part, whether for competition, personal challenge, or a healthy lifestyle. Hosted by Marine Surf Lifesaving Club, the Dolphin Mile offers a safe, inclusive, and exhilarating ocean swim experience, celebrating community, endurance, and a love for the ocean.
