Cuba Solidarity Walk

South Africa and Cuba share a long-standing history of solidarity, cooperation, and mutual support, dating back to the struggle against apartheid. Cuba played a significant role in supporting South Africa's liberation, fostering a relationship rooted in shared values of justice, equality, and international solidarity. In recent times, the importance of global unity and cooperation has become even more critical. This solidarity walk is conceived as a platform to reaffirm the enduring bond between the people of South Africa and the people of Cuba, while promoting awareness of international solidarity, cooperation between nations, and recognize the historical friendship between South Africa and Cuba. The purpose of the Solidarity Walk is to express South Africa's support and unity with the people of Cuba. It also aims to encourage communities to stand together in support of social justice, peace, and mutual respect. Through this initiative, participants will demonstrate a shared commitment to solidarity, global partnerships and collective responsibility among citizens. The walk is hosted by the Department of Sport Arts and Culture in collaboration with the Tsutsumani Athletics Club
