Nzhelele Valley Festive Marathon

A popular year-end road race hosted in Biaba Township near Makhado, Limpopo, starting from the Makhado CPD Centre (formerly Makhado College of Education). Set against the scenic backdrop of the Vhembe region, the undulating tarmac route takes runners through local communities down toward the Nzhelele Dam, offering picturesque views of indigenous baobab trees and the surrounding valley. Providing a challenging mix of steady gradients and short climbs along with lively festive season support, the event draws athletes from across the province to compete in the full marathon, half marathon, and shorter distance options.
