Cradle Ultra-Trail

The Cradle Ultra-Trail returns to the Greater Cradle Nature Reserve, giving runners rare access to a privately owned UNESCO World Heritage Site that is closed to the public for the rest of the year. Five distances - 7KM, 10KM, 15KM, 28KM and 52KM - offer something for everyone, from first-time trail runners to experienced ultra-athletes. Every route has been designed to be fast, runnable and enjoyable, while still demanding enough to remind you that you're on the trails. For 2027, we've turned the routes around. By running the courses in an anticlockwise direction, familiar climbs become descents, favourite sections feel completely different, and even returning runners will find themselves seeing the reserve through fresh eyes. This is trail running without the crowds, without the queues and without hundreds of kilometres of well-worn public paths. Just one weekend each year, one extraordinary venue, and the chance to run somewhere very few people ever get to experience.
