The Heroes Marathon

Vaal University of Technology (VUTAC) Athletics Club, in partnership with Legacy Lead, proudly presents the inaugural The Heroes Marathon, taking place on 28 November 2026. The route is flat and fast. This is an excellent opportunity for runners to achieve a personal best or secure a qualifying time before the end of the year. The Heroes Marathon is an official comrades & Two oceans qualifier. Whether you're competing for prize money, chasing a new personal best, aiming to qualify for a major race, running socially with friends, or taking the first step towards a healthier lifestyle. The Heroes Marathon has something for everyone. This is more than a race - it's a festive, family-friendly event that celebrates fitness, community, and the spirit of perseverance.
